The 2nd call for proposals under the IST section of the 6th Framework Programme has generated requests for over EUR 4.1 billion of EU funding, almost 8 times the amount available for the call. 1,079 proposals were evaluated, 276 of which, representing a total request of over EUR 1 billion, have passed all eligibility and evaluation thresholds. The EU has allocated an indicative EUR 525 million for this call.
