The ESF programme on Functional Genomics invites proposals from potential organisers of science meetings to be held in 2005 on topics with a clear connection to the programme. These can be workshops, schools or conferences. The closing date for the next round of applications is 10 September 2004.
The European Commission has launched an open consultation on the future of European research policy via Interactive Policy Making (IPM). The results of the consultation will be used in preparing the proposal for the Seventh Framework Programme. The Commission would welcome views from the research community and users of research in all EU countries and third countries. The consultation is addressed in particular to public institutes, universities, companies, SMEs, research organisations.

The European Commission has launched an open consultation on the Commission´s Communication of May 2004 "Towards a European Strategy for Nanotechnology" which proposes an integrated and responsible approach for developing nanosciences and nanotechnology in Europe. Please submit your responses by 30 September 2004.
