12th Euroconference on Apoptosis

This conference, organised by the European Cell Death Organization (ECDO), offers a forum for the most prominent researchers in cell death and welcomes 250 participants every year. The focus of the conference, the special attention on the poster presentations and short oral communications, and the common luncheons create an atmosphere of stimulating discussions and contacts. Therefore, the ECDO meetings are considered as meetings of high standard in the field of cell death research.
The 25 Commissioners proposed to take the reins of the executive arm of the European Union from 1 November are busy. The questions they will have to answer in front of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) were published this week: they will not be a walkover for the BARROSO Commission, especially for Janez POTOCNIK.
