The headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) will be hosted by Budapest. A decision taken by the science ministers of all EU Member States selected the Hungarian capital over 4 other bids. But the media don´t miss an opportunity to bring science into the headlines if the right message is targeted at the public audience. On June 17th and 19th, 2008, two experts in science communication will elaborate on how scientific messages are best brought to the media and illustrate their findings with practical exercises.
Luxinnovation in cooperation with the European Space Agency, SES ASTRA, EUTELSAT and SOLARIS, are organizing a workshop in the field of satellite telecommunications and services. The event will focus on the S-Band activities undertaken by the joint venture between SES ASTRA and EUTELSAT, called SOLARIS. The workshop will take place at the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg on 13th June from 08.30 - 14.00. Ideas for this thematic are welcome and may be submitted with the registration form.
