EU´s environmental law accessible on Caselex

Caselex starts rolling out national Supreme Court cases on the application of the European Union´s (EU) abundant base of environmental law, which is set to be more strongly enforced when the European Commission´s new environmental priorities enter into force. Caselex is an innovative start-up hosted in the Ecostart Centres in Foetz. <br />
Ecostart Centres support in Luxembourg promoters of innovative projects at the idea stage and to provide ongoing assistance to the start-up phase.

Budapest wins race for EIT seat

The headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) will be hosted by Budapest. A decision taken by the science ministers of all EU Member States selected the Hungarian capital over 4 other bids. The Hungarian government welcomed the agreement and said it was a great success for the country. The Slovenian Minister for Higher Education, Mojca Kucler Dolinar, in her current function as President of the Competitiveness Council, expressed her satisfaction. .../...
What we read in the newspapers and see on television is partly a result of what we put there ourselves. There is no rule that says science has to form part of the news. But the media don´t miss an opportunity to bring science into the headlines if the right message is targeted at the public audience. On June 17th and 19th, 2008, two experts in science communication will elaborate on how scientific messages are best brought to the media and illustrate their findings with practical exercises.
Luxinnovation in cooperation with the European Space Agency, SES ASTRA, EUTELSAT and SOLARIS, are organizing a workshop in the field of satellite telecommunications and services. The event will focus on the S-Band activities undertaken by the joint venture between SES ASTRA and EUTELSAT, called SOLARIS. The workshop will take place at the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg on 13th June from 08.30 - 14.00. Ideas for this thematic are welcome and may be submitted with the registration form.
