The CRP Gabriel Lippmann invites to the 1st edition of the Luxembourg Earth Observation day. To enhance the collaboration between the Grande Région´s remote sensing community the idea was born to organize on an annual basis an interregional Earth Observation day in Luxembourg. Moreover, the conference intends to increase the awareness among users and service providers within the Greater Region of the potential that space technologies offer in the domain of environmental monitoring.
New AFR law in Luxembourg

The AFR is a new national research grant scheme to support PhD and postdoctoral research training in Luxembourg and abroad. It has arisen from a reform of the well-established BFR "Bourse Formation-Recherche" fellowship scheme, which is going to come to a close by the end of September 2008. From the 1st October 2008 onwards, the law on the AFR "Aides à la Formation-Recherche" (AFR) is going to come into force. The new AFR scheme is being managed by the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR). .../.
