The Luxembourg BioHealth Cluster is a network that brings together the major public and private stakeholders active in Health Sciences & Technologies in Luxembourg. It aims to foster partnerships and collaborations that favour innovative projects, thereby reinforcing and capitalising on the National Strategy developed to achieve scientific excellence in molecular medicine.

The core expertise and activities of the stakeholders of the Luxembourg BioHealth Cluster are in the field of molecular diagnostics. The Cluster also covers other business domains that are key elements in an integrated patient-based personalised medicine approach, such as bioinformatics, medical device and telemedicine. The main therapeutic areas covered include cancer (especially lung cancer), neurodegenerative diseases (such as Parkinson’s disease), lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and, to some extent, infectious diseases.

The Luxembourg BioHealth Cluster is a platform that provides high value-added services to its members, especially to:

• bring together its members (public laboratories, private companies and governmental institutions) within a suitable cooperative framework around themes of common interest
• promote the activities of the Cluster and its members thereby stimulating collaborations  at a national and an international level
• support the continuous development of its members and the activities of the Government in order to develop Health Sciences and Technologies in Luxembourg

The overall vision of the Luxembourg BioHealth Cluster is to develop Luxembourg as a key player in the field of Health Sciences and Technologies with high international visibility capable of attracting and developing world class research, development and innovation projects (RDI) and business activities.

Membership of the Luxembourg BioHealth Cluster is open to public research organisations, private laboratories and companies that are active in the field of Health Sciences and Technologies and are based in Luxembourg. New members can register online on the website of the Cluster. However, any other company or interested organisation is invited to subscribe to the newsletter of the Cluster to receive regular news and other relevant information.
