The Luxembourg Cluster Initiative is a key element of the national R&D and innovation policy which brings together various clusters and innovation networks established in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It is an efficient instrument to concentrate resources and means in order to achieve a critical mass and to accelerate the transfer of knowledge and good practice.
Launched in 2002 by the Luxembourg Government, it actively encourages networking between the private and the public sectors. The focus is placed on key technologies that have been identified as being important for the future sustainable development of the Luxembourg economy, such as:
