Logistics and Maritime clusters

Logistics and maritime activities represent sectors in which Luxembourg is positioning itself, putting emphasis particularly on innovative solutions for multimodal transportation and high value-added supply chains. As a result, cluster activities have been set up in these fields.

Cluster for Logistics

The Cluster for Logistics brings together all actors - companies, public research centres, institutions and government entities - with the objective of strengthening Luxembourg's position as a major intercontinental logistics hub in Europe for high added value services in logistics.

The mission of the cluster is to reinforce the competitive advantage of the logistics sector in Luxembourg compared to other logistics hubs. In order to fulfil this mission, the cluster aims to:

  • create an information exchange platform to foster reciprocal knowledge transfer between the members
  • strengthen collaborations and synergies between the different actors
  • develop new products and services
  • support research, development and innovation initiatives in the logistics sector
  • increase the offer and facilitate access to education and training in the field of logistics
  • generate proposals for improving the legislative, regulatory, administrative and infrastructure framework in Luxembourg
  • support the government in positioning Luxembourg as an intercontinental logistics hub

Membership is open for all actors eager to contribute and benefit from the pooling of resources and knowledge in the field of logistics. The cluster will not only focus on logistics companies but also welcome enterprises and all entities with activities in logistics services.

Cluster Maritime Luxembourgeois

The "Cluster Martime Luxembourgeois" was created in the context of the maritime policy defined by the European Union. The policy aims to encourage the establishment and development of maritime clusters, because "the maritime economy has impacts beyond the coastal regions".

The objective of the cluster is to foster the development of the maritime sector and its associated services in Luxembourg, such as transport activities, the logistics sector, financial services, legal and economic advice, as well as services related to maritime and harbour activities.
