The Luxembourg Space Cluster brings together renowned and highly specialised companies and public research organisations in the field of Space Technologies in Luxembourg in order to develop specific technology topics as well as collaborative RDI projects. The Luxembourg Space Cluster focuses on the following thematic areas:

  • Space telecommunications
  • Global Navigation Satellite System and Location based Applications
  • Earth observation
  • Maritime security and safety
  • Space related technologies. 

Official member of the European Space Agency (ESA) since 2005, Luxembourg provides excellent financial and political support as well as operational infrastructures in order to help Luxembourg-based companies and research organisations gain access to innovation within the space sector.

The Luxembourg Space Cluster brings together companies and public research organisations following a common mission. Its aim is to develop Luxembourg as a leading region for Space Technologies with a high international visibility, capable of developing and attracting high impact research, development and innovation (RDI) and business activities. The Luxembourg Space Cluster brings together private and public actors in the field of Space Technologies and provides an efficient framework around themes of common interest in order to reinforce the competitive advantage of its members.

The main objectives of the Luxembourg Space Cluster are to: 

  • empower the development of the space sector in Luxembourg
  • increase and encourage the uptake of new technologies
  • promote the technological capabilities of private companies and public research in Luxembourg and thereby enhancing their national and international visibility
  • facilitate collaboration between public and private research actors on the national and international level
  • identify new market possibilities

Membership of the Luxembourg Space Cluster is open to companies, public research and other organisations that are active in the field of Space Technologies and are based in Luxembourg. However, any other company or interested organisation is invited to register to receive regular news and information about events organised by the Luxembourg Space Cluster. New members can register online on the website of the Cluster.
