Description of activities

Balzers is specialized in the hard coating of cutting tools and mold/die systems, and high precision parts by hard metal coatings with low coefficients of friction, by PVD or CVD.

Balzers uses the Balinit® Diamond, a surface coating process they invent, which is extremely hard and performant.

The Luxembourg site has been chosen to become the competence centre for application of the Balinit® Diamond coating onto hard metal surfaces.

In aircrafts industries, Balzers works in partnership with EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company), Airbus and Dassault.
