The People programme of the Seventh European Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) is dedicated to promoting the careers of researchers and encouraging the mobility of researchers. It draws on a budget of €4.7 billion.

To meet this objective, the programme supports a range of initiatives aiming to enhance the quality of the training and the development of researcher careers and to promote geographical and intersectoral mobility.

Marie Curie Actions, all of which are geared to specific aims. The Marie Curie Actions are open to:

To participate in a Marie Curie Action, applicants must respond to a call for project proposals. The participation rules are specified for each call.

 


 

National financial aid for young researchers

Doctoral and post-doctoral students can benefit from a number of national financial aids that would allow them to have an initial research training.
