BusinessMentoring Support to young company managers The Business Mentoring programmes offers young company managers the opportunity to have an experienced business manager as their mentor for a period of 12 or 18 months. The main objective is to encourage the exchange of experience between business managers and young entrepreneurs in order to strengthen the growth of Luxembourg companies during their start-up, development or transmission phase. The aim of the programme is to aid "young" managers to: develop their managerial skills (organisational capacity and efficiency, critical thinking, etc.) better manage the growth of their business manage a take-over and grow in their role of successor/buyer The programme thus targets young entrepreneurs whose companies find themselves in one of the following 3 key stages: start-up (6 months to 3 years): making mentees aware of what mistakes to avoid when launching a company and supporting them through the 3 most critical years of the company's existence development (after 3 years): helping mentees set targets and implementing appropriate processes, particularly in the context of rapid development transmission (whether family-based or not): increasing specific skills of the mentee The programme targets mentees who are driven by a need to reach their full potential in their profession and who are eager to learn and develop. Any person who may represent a company appropriately in the capacity of the effective and on-going daily management – the operator of a sole proprietorship, the manager or director of a company or the proxy holder of the authorisation of residence for the technical management of a commercial company – can participate as mentee.
