The Panda Club offers multiple scientific activities for children aged between 6 and 10. It is an initiative launched by the National Museum of Natural History. Activities are organised based on the subject of nature, allowing the young scientists to:

  • become familiar with plants and animals
  • observe nature with the aid of a magnifying glass, microscope or night vision devices
  • carry out practical work in open nature: planting trees, digging out ponds, etc.
  • discover nature through outings: rallies, visits to the zoo, camping, etc
  • carry out Do-it-yourself work, draw, play, etc

The activities take place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. During school holidays, activities are organised daily.

Along with these activities, the Panda Club issues 2 publications, which are sent to its members free-of-charge:

  • the Panda news: activity programme, published 6 times a year
  • the Panewippchen: The Panda Club journal, published 4 times a year
