A Korean university has developed 3D apparel software which integrates the comprehensive pattern making, realistic 3D fabric representation and accurate 3D fitting simulation. This innovative technology reduces the production cost due to the reduced manufacturing process and enhances the creative conception by offering the realistic and responsive 3D simulation. The university is looking for a company for licensing agreement and commercial agreement with technical assistance.
The 3D apparel system revolutionize the traditional way of fashion design and clothes manufacturing, which not only reduces the production costs, time and human errors radically, but also enhances the creative conception by offering the realistic and responsive 3D simulation and unlimited experiment opportunities.
Comprehensive Pattern Making can import the existing CAD (Computer Aided Design) system data in dxf format, using the automatic drafting basic pattern slopers, and acquisition the pattern data by photographing paper patterns.
Intuitive 3D Garment Construction can be positioned and seamed for the 3D garment construction with a few clicks intuitively for the draping simulation. This feature allows the user to perceive 3dimentional structures of garments and to estimate accurately how the garments will be made.
Fast and accurate 3D draping simulation, based on the material property and various preset-shaders such as velvet, satin, cotton, leather, linen and suede, provide non-limited real-time experimental opportunity before actual manufacturing of the garments.
Complex 3D surface modeling for CAD software has enabled apparel specific body scanning and 3D simulation to be introduced to the apparel industry as an innovative means of rapid prototyping.
The company has created software for the physically-based simulation of clothes, readily adaptable to any body type and motion, which can construct complex ensembles and reproduce their dynamic movements with a striking degree of realism.
