Compétences

Principaux axes de recherche

En englobant les arguments de bout en bout de la conception de systèmes, ComSys se concentre sur la recherche intégrée dans trois domaines:

  • Le transfert d’informations a trait à la transmission d’informations sur des canaux et réseaux potentiellement complexes.
  • Les systèmes de communication à leur tour forment la composition de plusieurs entités distribuées qui emploient les réseaux de communication pour atteindre collectivement un but commun.
  • Informatique en grille: le Luxembourg s’est montré très actif, via la fondation Restena, dans le domaine des infrastructures en grille européennes (réseaux). L’unité de recherche CSC a déployé un cluster à 160 cœurs au début de l’année 2008 afin de participer pleinement au projet Grid5000, ce qui a permis de placer le Luxembourg au 4è rang après la France, les Pays-Bas et le Japon.
